April Viverette, PhD, LCSW-S, MBA is a scholar-practitioner, multistate licensed clinical social worker with a diverse background in behavioral health, healthcare organizations, and leadership. As a clinical social worker, health services researcher, and educator, her work bridges the practice and research worlds to address structural inequities and improve access to effective behavioral health care. She bring over a decade of interdisciplinary experience in health systems leadership, clinical service delivery, and academic teaching, which collectively inform her research on organizational practices, trauma-informed care, and behavioral health equity.
I am particularly committed to examining how clinical decision-making, organizational culture, and economic factors shape care access and outcomes for underserved populations. My research integrates quantitative, qualitative, and mixed methods approaches and aligns with exploring whole-person using systems-oriented strategies for improving behavioral health.
Dr. Viverette enjoys traveling internationally, her most recent trip was Japan, Thailand, & Singapore. She has pets (dogs, fish, guinea pigs).
