Dr. Lauren Prochak is a highly experienced and proven leader in education. She brings over 20 years of experience, spanning across various communities, socioeconomic statuses, identities, ages, and ability levels. Her unwavering commitment to learning, growth, and supporting others has lifted the success of those she leads. The learner-centered and results-driven approach to teaching, learning, and leading position her to help educators and leaders understand and leverage their strengths to build sustainable educational systems to support learner outcomes.
Dr. Prochak has served as a teacher, administrator, principal, and coordinator in public districts across the state of South Carolina and as a leadership specialist for school leaders in virtual education across the nation. She is currently opening a K-8 public charter school in South Carolina.
Dr. Prochak is passionate about building a school-wide culture and programs that promote high expectations, psychological safety, and inclusion. Her priorities as a leader are positive relationships, purposeful collaboration, and intentional action.
Dr. Prochak is fluent in American Sign Language, is a certified Data Team Trainer, and holds additional certifications in Social & Behavioral Research, Continuous Process Improvement, Assistive Technology for Individuals with Visual Impairments, Leading Schoolwide Social and Emotional Learning, Kagan Cooperative Learning, Google Educator, Teacher Evaluation, Equity and Diversity, Crisis Prevention & Intervention, Positive Behavior Interventions and Supports, Professional Learning Communities, and Leading Organizational Culture.
Dr. Prochak committed her dissertation research to the impact of the economic and geographic discrepancies on academic and post-secondary outcomes across the state of South Carolina. Her vision and energy for continuing education further refine her ability to design and carry out research, write professional literature, and lead adult learners.
When Dr. Prochak is not working, you can find her on her back porch playing cards, cooking brunch on Saturdays for her two teens and their friends, or singing poorly as she drives backroads in her old jeep. She believes life is made up of #amillionlittlemoments, which you will see on her stories.
