�����ҹ����1000���ϼ�92 of the Cumberlands’ online Master of Science in Criminal Justice program continues an impressive streak, once again being ranked among the Top 10 in the nation by U.S. News & World Report. This year, the program climbed to No. 4, up three positions from 2024. The program also ranked No. 3 nationwide for U.S. military veterans, marking a five-place jump from last year. 

Dr. Jack Brown, director of criminal justice graduate studies and associate professor for the Department of Criminal Justice, said, “The rankings reflect our commitment to serving students. U.S. News evaluates over 1,500 schools nationwide, measuring the overall academic quality of programs. The Methodology used to measure the best online Master’s in Criminal Justice programs is rigorous and thorough, utilizing five categories: engagement, faculty credentials and training, peer assessment, services and technologies, and student excellence. Veterans Rankings also considers financial aid benefits available to military veterans and active-duty service members. 

Maintaining a top ten ranking for several years in a row is an impressive feat but earning a spot in the top five for 2025 is an even greater accomplishment. This year’s ranking highlights an increased level of excellence across all evaluation categories, a point of pride for Dr. Brown, as is having the program ranked the #1 online Master’s in Criminal Justice program in Kentucky for 10 years in a row.
