On Tuesday, April 16th, the �����ҹ����1000���ϼ�92 of the Cumberlands will cut the ribbon on their beautiful new Fitness Court®! Located on campus near the Recreation Center, UC will be the first school to join the National Fitness Campaign in 2019 and bring world-class fitness outdoors.

The new Patriots Fitness Court is part of a nationwide movement, launched by San-Francisco based National Fitness Campaign, to get people excited about health and wellness.  The outdoor bodyweight circuit training gym is connected to a free digital ecosystem, and was designed to transform campus open spaces into community fitness hubs.

“�����ҹ����1000���ϼ�92 of the Cumberlands is beyond excited to offer another health and wellness initiative for our students, staff, and community members,” said Dr. Josh Hatfield, Director of Campus Rec.  “Through a partnership with the National Fitness Campaign, Cumberlands will be the site of the very first fitness court on a college campus in the state of Kentucky. As always, it’s a great day to be a Patriot!”

The �����ҹ����1000���ϼ�92 Fitness Court is part of a nationwide effort launched by the National Fitness Campaign (NFC), and the �����ҹ����1000���ϼ�92 staff is teaming up together to connect their campus community to free activities and experiences that encourage a healthy lifestyle.

“We see great value in providing free world-class fitness and outdoor recreation for students on elite campuses nationwide,” said Mitch Menaged, Founder of the National Fitness Campaign. “Stanford �����ҹ����1000���ϼ�92 led the way in California, and now �����ҹ����1000���ϼ�92 of the Cumberlands is blazing the trail for Kentucky. We couldn’t be happier about their commitment to this program!”

For access to guided workouts, to get involved with on-campus training, or to learn how they can qualify for the Fitness Court Challenge event, students are invited to download the free Fitness Court App on iOS or Android.

Students are invited to attend an Opening Day Launch Event on Tuesday, April 16th at 4:00 PM for free 15-minute full-body express boot camps, free gear and giveaways, and a great workout on the new outdoor Fitness Court!  Class spaces are limited — reserve yours here:
